What happens after I submit a return?Updated 20 days ago

Here's what to expect after you drop off your return

  1. Drop it off. Use the prepaid label you got from returns.mizzenandmain.com. Hold onto your drop-off receipt — that's your proof it's on its way.
  2. It's in transit. You can track the return shipment using the tracking number on your drop-off receipt.
  3. We receive and inspect it. Once it arrives, we check that everything is unworn, unwashed, and has original tags attached. Items that don't meet those conditions won't be eligible for a return.
  4. We process it. Give us up to 5–7 business days from when we receive your package.
  5. You'll hear from us. We'll email you once your refund, store credit, or exchange has been taken care of.

When will the refund hit my account?

After we process it, refunds to your original payment method usually show up within 3–5 business days — your bank controls that timeline, not us. If you chose store credit, it's available in your account right away.

Heads up about the restocking fee

If you're returning for a refund to your original payment method, a $5 restocking fee per item will be deducted from your total. Choosing store credit or an exchange? That fee goes away.

It's been more than 7 business days and I haven't heard anything

Reach out to us at [email protected] with your order number and your return tracking number. We'll track it down for you.

A few things to keep in mind

  • Each return needs to go in its own box with its own label — mixing orders in one shipment causes delays
  • Embroidered items are final sale and can't be returned
  • Final Sale items aren't eligible for returns or exchanges
